Older types of townhouses in the Philippines are usually found in urban areas. Nowadays, townhouses in the Philippine are now found in large, luxurious complexes. Large complexes often have high security, resort facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, parks and playground equipment, a proper housing for most higher class Filipinos. However, the disadvantage of most townhouses is its location. Most townhouses in the Philippines with these description are found in provincial areas.
