Condominiums and apartments are practically similar with each other, both in advantages and disadvantages. There is, however, a difference between apartments and condominiums. This is with its cost. According to many experts, apartments became popular in the first place because of its affordability. Compared to buying a condo unit, which usually costs around P800,000 to P2,000,000 Philippine Pesos, or even greater, apartments are usually rented, which is beneficial for many Filipinos that cannot afford to invest that kind of money.

However, the disadvantage of owning an apartment is that it doesn't protect its residents from eviction from the land lord. Condominiums can then provide a more permanent residence than that of apartments.
